What is it that makes a distributor quit mlm businesses?
This is a broad question in which there are many reasons why a rep or distributor might quit the business. The fact of the matter is people quit but what is the reason that may cause someone to quit? I’m going to share my experiences and my thoughts on why I believe people quit mlm opportunities. Some of you may agree and some of you may not, these are my opinions an my take on this issue
The traditional way of building an mlm business starts with you sponsoring people with the intentions that some will fail where as some will continue to grow. As you sponsor people onto your team, your next step is to build momentum with training that will create motivation. The training will consist of conference calls, meetings, webinars and seminars. After your team beings to develop, your members will start to fall to into two kinds of groups.
Group A - People come into the business highly motivated, that motivation begins to build confidence, that confidence then pushes those people to take action and then by taking action they begin to see results. These people understand that building mlm businesses require patience, dedication, leadership and consistent personal growth
Group B - People that comes into the business gets motivated, the motivation sometimes isn’t strong enough to build confidence, lack of confidence prevents action which ultimately ends in no results. This doesn’t necessarily mean people who falls into group b quit mlm, sometimes it takes a while for them to build momentum, build confidence and build belief.
Inspiration Has A Part To Play In Why People Quit MLM Opportunities
People who creates massive growth in their business are inspired to achieve high levels of success . People who lack motivation, you’ll find it hard to inspire them because they are not motivated to achieve success.

What does that actually mean and why is it commonly used in our profession? Leaders understand that to build any MLM business they must step outside their comfort zone. I’ve come to learn that’s easier said than done for most folks. So what makes people step outside their comfort zone? Confidence is what makes people step outside their comfort zone, how do you find that confidence? Your motivation fuels your confidences to overcome the fear that may hold you back from stepping out and growing.
Do People Quit MLM Because They Lack Confidence
I believe aside from not getting any results, people mainly quit mlm due to the lack of confidence. If someone on your team isn’t confident enough in them self to pick up the phone to call prospects, overcome objections or speak before a room of people eventually; if they don’t find the confidence they will soon quit. To see results you need to talk action, action is only taken by having confidence and confidence is found when you’re motivated to do something. Skills do have a huge part as well in the equation but in order to acquire skills, you must first take action.
Although, like I said before there might be different scenarios why people might quit the business, I believe most of it comes from lack of confidence. If you’re not seeing results it might be because you’re not doing things necessary to see results. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you got some insight and value from this.
